Adjusting to change

I am learning as I get older that change is not a bad thing. When I was working in corporate world I could not stand change because I knew it meant that I would have to learn something new and get use to it. But as I obtained a position in leadership it all started to make sense to me. Change is just transformation and transformation to me is now associated with something positive occurring. Right now we are going through some transformations and I feel that if I can get my peers to embrace my stance towards change then we will all be okay. Don't be afraid to transform any aspect of your life because you never know what you will get from it. Try it!!!!!

Spreading My Wings

Have you ever played the game follow the leader? Well I am playing it now and am following in stride the footsteps of some of the greatest leaders I've met. I am an educator at Life Schools and my hearts desire is to one day become an Administrator and to be successful at it. The best thing that could have ever happened was accepting my position at Life Schools as a 2nd grade teacher.  I have learned so much and the opportunity for growth as a leader is amazing in this district. I was recently selected to be apart of Life Schools first Leadership Academy which is giving me the opportunity to get some experience in the role of an Assistant Principal (AP) and I am loving it. I remember the first day that I was shadowing my AP, I was anxious, taking all kind of mental notes, I wanted to see and know it all in just one day but that was impossible and even as I am getting more and more experience, I am still learning new things and ways to handle the different situations that arise. This leadership program really has me spreading my wings and if it was not for someone believing in me, a second year teacher that's eager to learn and lead, I would not be writing this blog and following my Leader.
